Fan Tan Alley (番攤巷）can be seen as a tangible representation of the mixing of two cultures -- British-Canadian and Chinese. All throughout Victoria's Chinatown, one can see Chinese stores with a distinctly Canadian twist -- for example, bubble tea shops selling the flavor "London Fog." 

Today, Fan-Tan Alley is a popular tourist destination, and features delightful shops selling clothing, treats, souvenirs, and more! It serves as an entryway to Victoria's bustling Chinatown, but, beyond that, it also represents a beautiful fusion of cultures. My family is Asian, and many of my family members live in Canada; Fan-Tan Alley can be seen as an embodiment of the culture fusion my family experienced upon immigrating to the West. I would highly recommend a visit to the beautiful Fan-Tan Alley!
